2021年7月に世界自然遺産に登録された沖縄本島北部の「やんばる」エリア。
緑豊かな亜熱帯照葉樹林の森が広がり、ヤンバルクイナやリュウキュウコンテリギ（琉球紺照り木）などの固有動植物が多く生息しているサンクチュアリーです。

Yanbaru, a subtropical laurel forest wildlife sanctuary located in the northern part of Okinawa, has been officially registered as a UNESCO’s World Natural Heritage Site in July 2021.
Unique endemic wildlife such as the flightless Okinawa Rail Bird with its beautiful black and white feather patterns and orange beak roam throughout the region.
In addition, the Ryukyu Hydrangea with its beautiful white flowers blossoming in May is another plant species that is native to this region.
